Lucy Moretti, the five-year-old heiress of the Moretti crime family, was banished to the countryside as an infant — a fire years ago had branded her a jinx. At five, she is brought back to the manor by her eldest brother, the family heir. Gifted with the power to foresee danger and heal the sick, she restores her brother's ruined face, saves him from poisoned wine, cures her second brother's autism, and breaks her third brother's prejudice through her actions. She then exposes her uncle's plot to murder family members and usurp the family, and wins over her cousin Sophia — becoming the apple of her three brothers' eyes.
