After a shipwreck, military veteran Jack and Marcy—the stepmother of his girlfriend Ruth—find themselves stranded together on a deserted island. Their relationship starts off tense, but survival forces them to depend on each other. Once they join up with other survivors, camp leader Richard establishes a dictatorship and frames Jack and Marcy, getting them banished. Jack, Marcy, and a follower named Mia build a new camp, forming a rival faction. When fugitives Lucas and Ron arrive, the camp is plunged into grave danger. In the end, through Mia’s self-sacrifice and an outside rescue, the villains are punished and the survivors are saved.
