Vampire Queen Valeria is betrayed by her lover Lucien and her sister Seraphina. Stripped of her blood crown, powers and throne, she is imprisoned in a sunlit cell and exiled. Left dying, she is rescued by vampire hunter Adrian, and forced to form a forbidden blood pact with her foe. Drawing power from the hunter’s blood, she makes a fierce return to the Night Court, dragging her former lover and sister before the blood crown tribunal.
