At eight months pregnant, Evelyn catches her husband Ethan in a hotel bed with another woman. Faced with his desperate pleas, his sister's vicious taunts, and his family's false kindness, she chooses to divorce with dignity — and takes back every cent that belongs to her. As the Pierce family crumbles under its own corruption, each person who betrayed her meets their fate. Three years later, Evelyn starts a new life with her son, repaying the kindness she once received in her darkest hour.
