Special forces soldier Lu Xiao transmigrates to a famine-stricken realm, settling in a barren village. Drawing on military skills and modern knowledge, he diverts water, fights locusts and reclaims farmland, uniting bandits and refugees to survive. He resists corrupt officials and northern invaders, farms the borderlands, spreads disaster-resistant farming methods and secures peace. He turns down high office, returns home and saves tens of thousands of displaced people.
