Enemies at war: Dragon Clan prince Kyle is poisoned and saved by Deer Clan spirit maiden Liriel. Hiding their identities, they fall in love. She gives him the Heartlink Bell, then takes his poison into herself and goes blind. A year later, Liriel is sacrificed to Kyle as the clan's spirit maiden — neither recognizes the other. Princess Daisy schemes to drive them apart, pretending to be Liriel's true love. Heartbroken, Liriel leaves. Only then does Kyle realize the woman he lost is the one he's been searching for — and begins his desperate journey to win her back.
