Mia, a snow rabbit beastkin, is cast aside by her ex-husband on grounds of infertility. She remarries Dominic, the lion prince rumored to be unable to father heirs, and unexpectedly conceives twins — only to be framed for adultery by Queen Cassandra, the king's second wife. The truth emerges: her ex-husband is the truly infertile one. The prince's supposed barrenness is a scheme the queen engineered through years of poisoning to help her biological son usurp the throne. In the end, the villains get their just deserts. The prince confesses his long-hidden love for Mia dating back years; the two welcome children and live a happy, complete life together.
