Princess Ruth of the fox clan is killed by her sister Vivian, then reborn on the day of choosing a fox husband. Realizing Vivian is also reborn, Ruth deliberately swaps suitors and picks the frail lunar heir Ellis. Using a secret family ritual, she nourishes Ellis, and their bond deepens. Eventually she gives birth to a ten-tailed sacred fox. Vivian, blinded by greed, destroys herself. Ruth gains true love and a happy ending.
