On Christmas Eve, broke, terminally ill Nora misspells Santa as Satan and accidentally summons Devil No. 937. In exchange for her soul, he grants her money and becomes the handsome "malewife" she wished for. Their comic bargain turns into love as Nora spends her fortune helping the orphanage that raised her. After she dies and ascends to Heaven, 937 braves its deadly light to find her and ask whether she is still his wife- then follows her into another life.
