Born with bark skin and thorn hair, Lina Navera is abandoned by beauty-obsessed parents in the Forbidden Forest. Raised by a witch, she loves Lark, who accepts her. An enchanted stream makes her beautiful, and she learns Lark is Riviera's crown prince, betrothed to Verei. Jailed for rejecting the match, Lina joins the Rite of Blossoms to claim him. As Verei schemes and the forest withers, she uncovers a dark family secret. Can the discarded daughter become Riviera’s rightful queen?
