In 1998, in a coastal fishing village, fisherman Thomas Miller and his wife Mary rescue a little girl, Lulu, from the sea after a typhoon and adopt her. Lulu has an uncanny gift for sensing marine life. Following her directions, Thomas hauls in rare yellow croakers and premium sea cucumbers. Thanks to their little lucky star, the family of three weathers every storm, building a warm, prosperous, and happy life.
