Kyle is hunted off a cliff and loses his memory. A mermaid princess, Ellie, saves him. They fall in love. When he's poisoned protecting her, she sacrifices her heart scale to save his life—but his family takes him away before she can stop them. Ten years later, Kyle is the Magic Academy's youngest instructor, still haunted by a name from a dream. Ellie has raised their daughter alone, scraping by in a world that looks down on her. Then a job offer she never expected pulls her back into his life. And the little girl with his eyes? She's the daughter he never knew he had.
