Top conglomerate Elysium’s chairwoman Evelyn hides her identity and returns home as a legal stepmother to protect her stepson Christian. At his engagement banquet, her future daughter-in-law Isabella and others mistake her for a gold-digger, slapping her, dousing her with wine, tearing up her land deeds, and dragging her into the wine cellar. Christian takes her side, breaks with the villains, and goes bankrupt. Evelyn then unleashes a hundred-billion-dollar takedown, sending Isabella, Julian, and the rest to prison, ultimately putting Christian on the empire’s throne, while she fades into the shadows, asking for nothing in return.
