Iris built her cousin Jocelyn’s restaurant into a three-Michelin-starred New York spot with $2 million annual net profit. Yet Jocelyn betrayed her: she only paid Iris thirty thousand dollars, replaced Iris with sous chef Vaughn, and fired her. Jocelyn even took all credit for the success of her restaurant and lured family members to invest in her business. Iris opened Maple Bistro across the street. She found Vaughn used refrozen rotten salmon and took kickbacks but stayed quiet. Jocelyn’s restaurant crashed amid bad reviews, while Iris’s bistro thrived. Jocelyn sent Vaughn to steal Iris’s sauce recipe. Will their plan work?
