Eva Sterling is the titular heir to the ancient castle, yet she has long been manipulated and suppressed by her aunt, Beatrice. After her twenty-third birthday, strange dreams suddenly begin: a man wearing an obsidian ring invades her dreams night after night, leaving behind real, visible red marks, and slowly drags her into the two-hundred-year-old curse between the Sterling family and the Blackwood family.
