Eliza Grey was sent to Devil's Island Asylum by her stepmother on the day of her mother's funeral, and over ten years she mastered cooking, medicine, and self-defense. After her release, she married in place of her spoiled stepsister to Cassius Blackwood, a business tycoon rumored to bring death to his wives. Facing the violent paralyzed stepson Victor and the eccentric little son Leo, she won over Leo with her superb cooking and helped Victor stand again through acupuncture and herbal decoctions. Her stepmother, in collusion with Raymond, kidnapped her for revenge, and Cassius mobilized tanks and helicopters to rescue her. Eliza ultimately reclaimed her mother's inheritance and became the true mistress of Blackwood Manor.
