Surgeon Vivian has been with her boyfriend Julian for three years and is about to introduce him to her father—a mafia boss. But Julian shows up first with Camille, a wealthy heiress, and publicly dumps Vivian for being "beneath him," mocking her as someone who could never reach his level. Heartbroken, Vivian returns to her family and becomes a Moretti heiress—a name no one dares to cross. When Julian discovers the woman he threw away is the mafia boss's daughter, he desperately tries to win her back, kneeling and begging—only to be slapped down again and again. She proves she can stand at the top without her family, and finds someone who truly values her. Julian loses everything, paying a brutal price for his snobbery and cruelty.
