Mia Miller escapes her fishing village and sails alone to Harboris to avoid being married off to a simple-minded man from a nearby village. In her previous life, she shared a decade with Ethan Grant; after his tragic death, she endured twenty years of solitary living. Reborn in May 1960, she rejects her destined fate. Following five days of preparations, she crosses the sea, lands close to Ravenwall, takes up cheap accommodation, and sets out to secure a foothold in Harboris.
