Lucien, the 100,000-year-old progenitor of the vampires, encounters Luna, an amnesiac princess of the Silver Moon werewolf clan. Drawn into the ancient feud between their peoples, they uncover a conspiracy orchestrated by the High Priest Marcus and survive a series of deadly trials. When Luna sacrifices her royal bloodline and becomes mortal, the arrival of the Child of Chaos reignites the war between vampires and werewolves. Joining forces with the Hunters' Guild, Lucien and Luna broker a coexistence pact among humans, vampires, and werewolves. Renouncing their supreme positions, they choose to spend the rest of their lives together as ordinary mortals.
